Makro and Game are bringing back their popular annual Top Rated by Kids event where children test a variety of toys to help create a list of South Africa’s best, chosen by kids themselves. This fun-filled event brings together over 500 children from across the country to rate never-before-released toys.
The first of these judging events took place this past weekend at their Makro Silverlakes and Game Mall of Africa stores – with more toy testing events to follow throughout the month of September in KZN and Western Cape leading up to the announcements of this year’s top-rated toys in October. These events are more than just playtime; they’re a chance for kids to become the real judges of what makes a toy exciting, imaginative, and worthy of topping the festive wish lists. From toys like the Lilo & Stitch Monopoly, to the Disney Stitch Radio Control Surfer to the I Play Jumping Baby, the event lets children test a wide range of toys before giving their honest ratings.
The results of the toy testing events directly shape Makro and Game’s Annual Festive Toy Catalogue, with the top-rated toys earning a place on both brands must-have toys list for the festive season. This ensures that the catalog reflects what truly resonates with South Africa children, making gift-giving easier.
