We strive to provide useful and frequent disclosure to our shareholders, regardless of how hard this may be in periods of difficulty or underperformance.
Shareholders are formally reported to twice a year - in February and August at half-year and full-year results time - together with a thorough executive overview. These are issued to shareholders and the media.
The Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and certain Group executives give presentations to institutional investors, analysts and the media when these results are released.
Sales updates reporting on the Group’s year-to-date sales performance are released in early January and July, shortly after the conclusion of the half-year and full-year trading periods, on release of the annual report and at the Group’s annual general meeting in November.
The Group CEO and CFO host an annual day-long visit by institutional analysts and investors to Massmart stores and a sales update is released along with this visit (held in May).
The Group CEO and CFO together meet regularly with institutional shareholders and, in addition, are available for meetings or conference calls with analysts and any existing or prospective Massmart shareholder (this occurs during the year, apart from closed periods).
This website provides financial and business information about the Group and includes electronic copies of all recent formal announcements, public statements and presentations made by Massmart.
